About David

I am a husband, father of two, and an employee at Fidelity Investments. My connection to Newton is strong, and is what drives my desire to serve. I am a graduate of the Newton Public Schools, a former heavy user of all Newton playgrounds, and a former ice-cream man who knows the streets, its neighborhoods, and the unique aspects of all the villages of Newton.

My background running businesses at Gillette and Procter & Gamble have helped me develop the skills needed to analyze situations, develop strategic plans, and sift through varying points of view to develop thoughtful conclusions. Instinctively, I am action oriented. In our community, I am involved in the Countryside PTO as the creator of the Newtonwide a-cappella fundraiser, A-cappalooza. At Temple Beth Avodah, I revived the latent Brotherhood to create a broader sense of community for the men of the congregation. As a coach for my kids’ soccer and baseball teams, I remain grounded in their needs and see firsthand how a strong community can positively impact our children.

·         I graduated from with a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

·         I’ve managed multiple businesses at Kraft Foods, Gillette, and Procter & Gamble

·         I serve on the Countryside School Space Task Force and developed the Newton wide fundraiser, A-cappalooza
